Chapter 6
- The wounded boy got back to consciousness in less than thirty minutes. He lay on the treatment bed, his father sat beside him. I watched them engage in a conversation, but I didn't pay attention to what they were saying. I sat down on the end of the tent canvas, thinking about everything that happened earlier.
- That was my first time seeing Casper in a wolf form. I have not seen Casper shift before, not to talk of knowing he was an Alpha. Sitting there a lot of other things ran through my head.
- Selfish, Ryanna. One of my thoughts barked at me. You stood by your son who almost took the life of another man's child. Is this how you would help people outside?
