Chapter 17 0017

• Edward was taken out of the hall by the SWAT team and they ventured through a narrow way, led by Dr. Natasha and the man in the black suit. The walk was silent; Natasha never looked back or talked to the man next to her, but Edward stared at her in confusion and disgust.
• Why was Natasha taking him away? What had he done? Did she have an ulterior motive for employing him? His mind began racing through what he and Marcus had been discussing before the interruption. It was clear to him now that Natasha was up to something, but he really didn't know what she was all about.
• Still, he remained calm. All he wanted was to get to wherever they were taking him and see what lay behind. He believed that no matter what, he and Marcus could get through it together.
