• The crowd dispersed as Noah climbed back into the truck and went away. Kailen, however, stayed back to chat with his new recruits and give them a rundown of their new tasks.
• Inside the laundromat, the old lady stirred from her seat, woken up by the gunshots. Putting on her brass-rimmed glasses, she looked around and immediately spotted Zi Han and the others standing there.
• “How did you get in here? The laundromat is closed for the day. We will open after sunset again. Just leave your laundry here and come back later,” she went off into a long rant, annoyed by the crowd inside her shop. “Go on. Don’t just stand there. The laundromat is closed, I said!”
