- CRYSTAL
- The wind roars in my ears the instant my feet leave the bridge. My body freefalls, weightless, and empty, until searing pain explodes in my arms. Something clamps down, yanking me back, my shoulders tearing with the force.
- I scream, twisting, my legs kicking at air. My body jerks upward instead of down, until my back collides with cold pavement. My chest heaves, lungs struggling to pull in air.
