• When she was done cursing her damn helpless life, her phone vibrated out loud, diverting her attention to her ringtone. She pocketed her hand in her pocket and answered the phone call.
• The number that just got dialed by an unknown person was only in the hands of a handful of people she trusted, not this person. She picked up the call and calmed herself to hear the man on the other side.
• His voice and chuckles were interspersed with the noise surrounding him. She strained her eardrums to have a clear grasp of what went on in his background.
