Chapter 52 Splintering Trust
- The attack came without warning.
- A roar split the corridor, so loud it rattled the rusted pipes overhead. Shadows surged toward them, blotting out the dim light. Something massive slammed into the wall just inches from Niko’s head, sending chunks of concrete flying. The ground shook as claws scraped along the stone.
- “Run!” Thomas shouted.
