- Rachel lay curled against Nathan’s side, her cheek pressed to the warmth of his chest, her breath still shallow from everything that had just happened between them. The sheets were tangled around their legs, their clothes scattered across the room in various states.
- Nathan’s fingers lazily traced shapes into her shoulder, soft as if reminding himself she was real. She could still feel the weight of his body on hers, the press of his kisses, the heat of his mouth against her skin. Her thighs still trembled faintly.
- She was in his arms again. But they weren’t out of the woods.
