Chapter 6 Let's Go Clubbing
- Talia’s POV
- “This marks the end of today's lecture,” The lecturer, a middle-aged woman, said into the microphone, as she flapped her laptop close. “Make sure you submit your assignment latest by ten tomorrow morning. Good day, class.”
- With that, she took her leave, and everyone did the same thing.
- “Are you doing anything after class today?” Kimberly asked, as we walked to the cafeteria.
- I was starving as I hadn't eaten breakfast today because I didn't want to miss my early morning class.
- “Nothing that I know of. Why?” I asked, as her lips curved upward with a mischievous smile.
- “I have invitation cards fo a club opening tonight,’’ She said, rummaging through her bag to retrieve the said cards. “I was supposed to go with Kevin but he's busy with work, so he gave them to me and I decided to take you with me.”
- Kevin was Kimberly's boyfriend, who worked as an assistant lecturer at our college.
- “That's great and all but I will have to decline your offer,” I said, as we stood at the end of the queue. “I just want to go home and sleep.”
- “Don't tell me you are still moping over Niccolo,” Kimberly scoffed, and my heart panged.
- That night after he ate me out, Niccolo began to avoid me.
- And yes, I told Kimberly about it because it was starting to eat at my soul.
- At first, I didn't even realize he was doing so, and only thought he was probably busy with work and various meetings as he was the CEO of the largest company in New York.
- Eventually, it dawned on me on the third day as I realized that he stopped waiting to give me a ride to college, and instead asked his driver, a middle-aged man named Colin, to do so instead.
- I couldn't help but wonder what I might have done that he has resorted to avoidance.
- I had really gotten addicted to the little moments we shared during our daily drives before he dropped me off at college.
- Or had I been too much of a nuisance during the process of him eating me out?
- Had I asked for too much?
- Maybe he had been repulsed by the fact that I was still a novice to sex and only wanted an experienced woman.
- The zillions of erotic novels that I had read during highschool had done little to prepare me for an orgasm, and it made me feel slightly ashamed.
- “No, I'm not moping over anyone, Kim,” I fibbed. “I just don't want to go anywhere.”
- Sighing in exasperation, Kimberly retorted. “Babe, you are twenty one for fucks sake. You need to go out more and meet people. Who knows if you will even meet a better man that would sweep you off your feet? Someone greater than Niccolo.”
- “Ugh, fine. I will go with you,” I said, and she smiled widely.
- “You made a good choice, babes,” She replied. “I can assure you that you will enjoy the fuck out of clubbing.”
- “If you say so, Kimmie.” I replied, as it got to our turn to buy food.

- “You look drop dead gorgeous, Talia,” Kimberly said, as I got out of the cab and paid the driver.
- We had arranged that either of us who arrived earlier, would wait for the other person in front of the nightclub, specifically because of me.
- It was my first time clubbing and I had no idea how to not look awkward alone in a club.
- “You think?” I asked, running my hands down my hips.
- “I think?” Kimberly huffed. “I know because it's a fact, babes. Come on, let's go in.”
- “You look sexy too, babes,” I said, and Kimberly flipped her imaginary long hair.
- I had decided to wear the most scandalous outfit that I owned; a beige off shoulder bodycon dress that stopped way above my knees paired with a pair of six inches brown heels and a brown shoulder bag.
- My long, coffee-brown hair flowed down my back, in loose, bouncy spirals that also shielded either sides of my face, accentuating the smoky eye makeup I had on.
- I had opted for a nude lipstick, as I didn't want to appear too obnoxious, and wanted to look sexy but in an elegant way.
- “I know but thanks for the compliment, bestie.”
- Kimberly was also clad in a mini bodycon dress, but hers was armless and bright red, which matched her red wedge sandals and her red heart-shaped purse.
- In response, I just huffed fondly as we interlocked arms and made our way into the glass storey building that was the nightclub that was named “Pleasure Haven”.
- After showing the bouncers our invitation cards, we were allowed into the nightclub and my jaw dropped as I took in the boisterous scenery of the place.
- Music was booming from speakers with young men and women, humping each other to the rhythm, creating a sensual ambience.
- Right there and then, I contemplated whether it was too late to turn back and go home but I shook the thoughts away because I was determined to let go of my worries tonight and thoroughly enjoy myself.
- “Babes, I have to make a call real quick,” Kimberly said. “Go sit at the bar. I will join you soon.”
- Without waiting for my response, Kimberly sauntered away in a hurry, leaving me to stand awkwardly at the center of the club.
- Heaving a huge sigh, I went to the sit at the bar like she said.
- “Welcome, pretty. What can I get you on this wonderful night?” A young man, who I presumed was the bartender asked.
- “Anything without alcohol, thank you.” I replied, and he frowned but shrugged.
- I was very prone to making mistakes whenever I was drunk, take for example, the whole thing that had happened with Niccolo.
- My heart sank as I thought about the possibility of him avoiding me throughout my stay at his place.
- Even the thought of it saddened me so bad.
- I should have never professed my attraction to him nor should I have kissed him.
- “Okay. I will make you a virgin cocktail then.” He winked then turned, while I retracted my phone to play games, as I had no idea what else to do.
- “Hello, sexy,” A voice came from beside me, and I cursed inwardly before looking at the owner of the voice, who happened to be a middle-aged man with pot belly and a bald head.
- The man was older than my father and I didn't know what disgusted me the most about him, between his sickening smile or his large lips.
- “With all due respect, I'm not interested.” I replied, and he smile only widened as if I just cracked the funniest joke on earth.
- “I didn't even say anything yet, princess,” He chuckled. “But then again, I'm attracted to feis-”
- “Are you fucking deaf?” An awfully-familiar voice came from behind me. “She already told you that she's not interested, so why are you still bugging her?”
- Inhaling sharply, I turned and there he was, looking dashing in a black suit, with a look of ire mauling his handsome face.
- I couldn't believe I was finally seeing Niccolo.
- Not at home but in a club.
- How wonderful.
- “Don't think you are all that,” The man spat at me before leaving.
- “Talia,” Niccolo called when the man left, and I scoffed, suddenly enraged at him.
- How dare he avoid me for almost a week and then come and parade himself like some sort of saviour?
- “What?” I spat, as the bartender set my drink in front of me.
- “Thanks,” I said to him before gulping the mocktail.
- Without a warning, Niccolo yanked me off the bar stool.
- “Hey!” I screeched in surprise, as I gazed down at his veiny hand engulfing my arm.
- “Come with me. I need to show you something.” He gritted out, his jaw clenched.
- For some reasons, I found the action extremely hot and couldn't even utter a word in response as he dragged me away.
