• Saturday came sooner than I would have loved, even though I was happy for my mom. Being her wedding day meant that I had to unwillingly stay in the same place with Nick for as long as the ceremony took. Days of not seeing him, constantly trying to avoid thinking about him while I fought my feelings for him were about to come to an end. As if the mental pressure of meeting him wasn't enough, I had to deal with the memories of my dad. I had made peace with Rob being by step-father but the image of my father lingered.
