• Ivy's sobs increased when Godwin pulled her into a hug. Without uttering a word, he rubbed her back in a gentle manner, trying to make her calm.
• "I don't deserve everything Dillon did. Even if he's sick, he was supposed to remember me and not those two witches. What did I do to deserve all these?" She lamented amidst tears and Godwin hummed, acknowledging her statement.
• An hour later, Ivy drifted off to sleep in his while hugging him and he gently picked her up in a bridal style and took her to her bedroom. He placed her on the bed and covered her body with a quilt. Thereafter, he placed a soft kiss on her forehead before stepping out of the room.
