Chapter 8 What Will Satisfy You

  • Under Emily's palm was his broad and powerful chest, and she could even feel his heartbeat.
  • In the darkness, Emily couldn't see his face.
  • But she could feel that this man was tall and well-built, with a sturdy and well-proportioned figure, and his breath was starting to become heavy.
  • "But...at least let me know who you are?"
  • "You'll know, but not now," Mr. Satan's kiss intensified slightly, lingering at the corner of her lips, "Sorry, I got too excited last night and accidentally hurt you."
  • His breath was too hot, and Emily gradually lost her strength to struggle, her head feeling dizzy and heavy. Yet, her last bit of rationality still resisted, "I don't know who you are, how can we fulfill our contract? What if I mistake someone else for you..."
  • "It won't happen," Satan's voice was enticing, "You're my woman, and no one dares to touch you."
  • A night of passionate lovemaking.
  • When Emily woke up, Mr. Satan was nowhere to be found in the room.
  • Everything from last night felt like a dream—confusing yet fiery. But the marks of their lovemaking on her body made it clear that it wasn't just a dream.
  • Mr. Satan was real, and she had truly sold herself.
  • Ten minutes later, Olivia arrived, handing her a box of pills. "Here are the contraceptives you asked me to bring. Do you need water?"
  • Emily shook her head and swallowed the pill directly.
  • Hospital tests had revealed her fallopian tubes were blocked, making pregnancy impossible, but she took precautions anyway.
  • She and Mr. Satan had slept together twice, and it wasn't her safe period. To prevent any accidents, she had Olivia bring her contraceptives.
  • Olivia, upon hearing this, furrowed her brows. "My goodness, is this Mr. Satan some kind of man with special fetishes?"
  • Emily looked up at her and shook her head. "No, he's young, around Nathan's age."
  • Olivia looked even more puzzled. "Then I really can't figure out why he would do this."
  • Emily's mind was in a mess, and there was a faint bitter taste from the pill in her mouth.
  • "Hey, what does he look like?"
  • Emily frowned. "Too dark to see clearly."
  • "How about his physique?"
  • Emily recalled last night—his strong and powerful arms, broad chest, slender waist, and his strong legs during lovemaking...
  • "His body is quite good."
  • Olivia chuckled. "I only asked about his physique, why are you blushing?"
  • "I'm not..."
  • "No need to deny it," Olivia continued, scrolling through the text messages. "He seems quite wealthy too, offering you five million just like that. Looks like he really likes you."
  • Emily's fingers tangled together, and her clothes were crumpled from her fidgeting. "Olivia, is what I'm doing wrong?"
  • "What's wrong with it? You should hurry up and divorce Nathan. Whether you're going to be with this Mr. Satan or not, you can't keep entangling yourself with that scumbag Nathan. Trust me, get the divorce. You'll be better off not having anything to do with each other in the future."
  • Emily was sure she needed to divorce as soon as possible.
  • "Hey, why do I feel like this Mr. Satan has had his eye on you for a long time, just waiting for you to decide to divorce Nathan so he can't wait to get his hands on you?"
  • Emily was startled. "How is that possible?"
  • Olivia crossed her arms. "Why not? Think about it, if he's giving you so much money just for a one-night stand, wouldn't he be a fool otherwise?"
  • Emily bit her lip. "But... what could he see in me? I've been married before, and I can't even have children. Why would he like me?"
  • "Stop, why are you belittling yourself? If a man loves you, isn't that a normal thing? It's just that this man happens to be wealthy. Why do you think you're not worth being loved?"
  • Emily fell into deep thought.
  • She thought of Mr. Satan again. He carried a natural aura of nobility, though not domineering in speech or action. Yet, there was an air of authority about him. A natural-born leader.
  • Could a man like him love her?
  • In just three days, her life had undergone a major change, but upon closer examination, it was merely going from one hell to another. Even if Nathan hadn't cheated with Sophia, she wouldn't have been happy.
  • Her marriage had been a mistake from the start.
  • Perhaps divorce was a good choice, better than lingering in hopelessness.
  • As for Sophia, they were no longer family from now on.
  • Ring ring.
  • Emily's phone rang.
  • She answered, "Hello?"
  • Nathan's attitude was terrible. "Emily, did you go to fool around with a random man again last night?"
  • She was furious. "Nathan, I have time now. Let's get the divorce."
  • "I'm asking you a question, answer me!"
  • "What's the point of you bothering with these things now? Yes, I was with him. Are you satisfied now?"
  • Nathan instantly exploded, "Didn't I warn you about this?"
  • "What do you want me to do then? You want a divorce, fine, I agree to divorce; your mom said she won't give me money, that's fine, I won't ask for a single penny; you want to be with Sophia, I won't stop you, I'll make way for you two; even in the four years of our marriage, whatever you wanted from me, I complied. Nathan, we're almost divorcing now, what more do you want to bully me into being satisfied?"
  • "Emily, you've got to be careful, you're being deceived!"
  • Emily responded coldly, "I have no money, no house, and I'm burdened with a sick father. What's there worth deceiving me for?"
  • Nathan's tone carried a hint of warning, "You're a woman, and a pretty one at that. I'm a man, and I understand men best. Men's intentions towards women go beyond just money, you should understand what I mean."
  • "Are you saying I'm being deceived for sex?"
