• "Is that one of the women that you and Zack have shared before?" He sent her a questioning look and she shrugged. "The way you two are holding onto her in the picture seems more possessive than familial or friendly."
• And she distinctly recalled Zack's comments about wanting to share Kathryn. While she wasn't exactly opposed to the idea, she didn't want to be a substitute, or just another body to use. She wanted to be worth more than that to Daniel, and now she felt grateful that it had never come up again.
• "We grew up with her," Daniel answered when he was done dressing, stepping past Kathryn easily and wandering back toward his nightstand. "It might be hard to believe, given where I'm at now in life, but my childhood was less than ideal."
