• Apparently, the email she received from Tripp was her e-ticket. Charleigh took the flight home that day.
• Once she settled back at her apartment, she spent the night berating herself for what she had done. She became impulsive and rushed her decisions without thinking through them.
• She was supposed to be moving on—that was the sole purpose of her sabbatical, not making herself believe in her own fantasy by letting her hopes up because of some invitation. It was not a ticket to heaven, for God’s sake, but she couldn’t help herself, though.
