Chapter 7
- As night falls, the streetlight drags Alyssa's figure long and thin.
- Alyssa quickened her pace, her handbag clutched tightly in her hand. Since the last attack, she had always felt that danger lurked in the darkness.
- "Shasha...
- There was the faint sound of footsteps behind her, and Alyssa's heart jerked into her throat. Not daring to look back, she quickened her pace and almost began to run.
- "Whew..."
- A gust of wind passed, and a dark figure stood in front of Alyssa.
- 'It's you again! "Alyssa backed away in horror, her back against the cold wall.
- The shadow approached, and in the dim light of the streetlamp, the face twisted grotesquely, the corners of her mouth wide, showing sharp fangs.
- "Little beauty, this time... You can't get away." The shadow made a low, hoarse sound with a sickening smell.
- Alyssa's body shook uncontrollably. She could sense that this attacker was different, more dangerous, more... Less human.
- The shadow pounced so violently that Alyssa closed her eyes in horror and let out a scream.
- "Ooooo --"
- A deafening howl of the Wolf that filled the night sky.
- A silvery gray shadow fell from the sky and smashed the dark one that was lunging at Alissa.
- The figure flew out of the sky and fell hard to the ground with a dull grunt.
- Alyssa opened her eyes and was stunned by what she saw.
- A huge, silver-gray Wolf stood in front of her, bristling with hair, entwined with muscle and explosive power. It roared, showing sharp fangs, and stared ferociously at the dark figure on the ground.
- 'The Wolf... Werewolves? ' Alyssa's voice quavered with disbelief.
- The dark figure on the ground struggled to get up, his arm twisted at an eerie Angle, clearly broken. There was a flash of fear in his eyes as he looked at the giant Wolf before him.
- "Damn it, it's..." The figure cursed under his breath, and before he could finish his sentence, the silver-gray Wolf pounced on him.
- There was a bloody and wild struggle between the two beasts, biting and scratching.
- Alyssa covered her mouth and tried to stop herself from screaming. She had never seen anything so terrible. It was beyond her comprehension.
- The silver-gray Wolf clearly has the upper hand, its movements are faster and more powerful, and every attack carries the force of a thunderbolt.
- The Shadow was losing ground, bleeding with fresh wounds.
- "Ooooo!
- With a roar, the great silver-gray Wolf bit the dark figure by the neck.
- "Ka-ching!
- The sound of bone splintering is distinctly audible.
- The figure's body twitched a few times and stopped struggling.
- The silver-gray Wolf released his mouth and the figure's body fell limp to the ground.
- Elisa watched it all, her mind blank.
- Slowly, the giant silver-gray Wolf turned to face Alyssa. Its hair was covered with blood, and it looked terrible in the light of the street lamp.
- Alyssa's heart was pounding. Her instinct was to run away, but her legs felt like they were filled with lead.
- Step by step, the Wolf walked toward Alyssa, stepping on her heart with each step.
- "Don't... Don't come... ' There was a SOB in Alyssa's voice.
- The Wolf stopped in front of Alyssa, his huge head hanging so low it was almost in Alyssa's face.
- Alissa could clearly feel the Wolf's heavy breathing and the strong smell of blood.
- Just when Alyssa thought she was going to be eaten, a miracle happened.
- The silver-gray Wolf's body began to change, the hair faded, the muscles contracted, and the bones made a "rattling" sound.
- A few seconds later, standing in front of Alyssa was no longer the terrible Wolf, but... Ryan.
- Ryan, who still had some blood on his body, looked at Alyssa with mixed eyes and his lips quivered a few times.
- "Alyssa... Lane's voice is low, with a hint of exhaustion.
- Alyssa's eyes widened as she looked at the familiar and strange man before her.
- "You... You..." Alyssa stuttered, unable to complete her sentence.
- "I..." Lane opened his mouth, as if to explain something, but ultimately didn't.
- "You... A werewolf?" "Alyssa asked, shaking as she finally found her voice.
- Lane was silent for a moment, then nodded slowly.
- "And..." Ryan took a deep breath and began with difficulty. "I am... The Wolf King. '
- Alyssa froze completely, looking at Lane with a look of shock, horror, and... A touch of indescribable disorientation.
- Ryan looked at Alyssa and didn't speak.
