• Alice turned to him, her face streaked with fresh tears. He motioned for her to take a seat on a single chair, waiting until she had settled, before continuing.
• “Five years ago, I thought l’d met the perfect woman. I wasn't in love with her or anything, but then, Id never been a believer in love. We dated for a while, and I convinced myself that she would make the perfect corporate wife. I took her to meet my family, and they didn't like her.
