Chapter 15

• Josephine let out a strangled shriek as her eyes flew open. She looked around wildly, her heart pounding in her chest. It had only been a nightmare.
• The last time she’d had a nightmare like that was years ago. She rubbed her face with her palms, exhaustion settling deep into her bones. She felt incredibly weak. Was it because she had slept so late?
• Dragging herself out of bed, she trudged toward the bathroom trying not to fall to the ground.
