• "Humph, just pretend! If Ethan doesn't die, you'll be no different than a widow!" Charlotte sneered.
• Lita quit arguing with Charlotte, because it was not worthwhile. There was no point to argue on this matter.
• Bella, who had been silent for a long time, suddenly opened her mouth and asked expectantly, "Lita, I heard that there is a Second Young Master in the Selmy family whose name is Alex. It's said that he is mysterious and reserved, and that he controls most of the economy of Lisbon. He is a true financial tycoon. Have you seen him?"

• Ethan should still be doing physical therapy in the medical room. Lita had asked Alice why Ethan wouldn't go to the big hospital for further treatment. The medical technology was so developed now. Besides, Selmy family could afford any kind of expensive treatments. She felt that Ethan should be able to get better treatment in hospital. It would make a great difference than staying at home and just being barely alive."
• Alice let out a long sigh. "Alas, since he heard of Miss Kipping's death, Ethan almost lost his desire for life. No matter how Alex persuaded him, he refused to get out of this house!"
• Lita was stunned and sad. It turned out that Ethan had someone in his heart! So marrying her probably wasn't his will either.
• She tried to put away her sadness and started to prepare dinner. She picked out some fruits from the refrigerator and the fruit basket on the table, which were soft in texture and easy to digest, and then began to make a dish of assorted fruits.
• "Mrs. Alex likes to eat mango the most," Alice kindly reminded her.

• As Bella had said, Alex was indeed a hot, attractive but also cold man.
