Chapter 5 Leaving

• Ashley
• I couldn't think straight, I could feel my head already feeling heavy, how could I make such a mistake? I wasn't thinking, that fucking stranger had me so wrapped around his finger that I thought about him all through the day I came back forgetting to take after pills, and now he's gone leaving me to deal with this alone.
• I looked at my stomach and sighed, I couldn't believe a cute being is growing inside of me, a smile formed on my face as I imagined how cute he or she will look, definitely the unknown stranger is mad handsome that I could say for sure.
• I wanted to cross the road, maybe take a walk down Nelly's coffee shop. I need to tell her my situation or I might go crazy with thinking.
• Yea….Nelly's the only friend I have here in LA though I do avoid her but she does everything to make sure we keep in contact. I might not say this to her face but she means a lot to me.
• I was still trying to cross the road when a taxi suddenly stopped right before me
• "Where mam?"
• "Street 44" I answered and entered, thanking my stars, the sun is already much. I was probably thinking of how to cross that damn road.
• The taxi drove off, and suddenly it dawn on me, the inside of the car is fucking cool, my eyes roam the inside of the car immediately and gosh, this is not a taxi, probably the latest Lamborghini truck
• My breath hitched, as my heartbeat begins to thumb at a high speed
• "Don't tell me I've been kidnapped" I whispered in fear as I covered my mouth with my palms
• "Who…who….sent you?" I stuttered in fear as my eyes become glassy with tears
• "I don't want to die yet I've not even seen my twins" I muttered panting in fear
• "Don't worry ma, boss said I should make sure you get home safely"
• My heart calmed a little bit but not totally, what if he's lying
• "Who's your boss?" I ask
• "Don't worry ma, you're safe with me" He said and turned giving me one of his cutest smiles, which calmed me down
• "Okay," I said and held on to my chest trying to steady my breathing.
• It didn't take long before he stopped in front of Nelly's Cafe, quickly without being told, I climb down fast and handed him a ten-dollar note
• "Sorry ma, just doing my job" He smiled
• "Who's your boss?" I ask looking around
• "It's a secret " He winked at me and drove off at a high speed. I sighed and put back the money in my purse
• I wasn't surprised when I entered the Cafe to see it's quiet and not filled with many people, its afternoon hit afternoon already no many people come at this hour,
• "Make sure to put down today's record" I heard Nelly's voice,
• I sat on the counter, already tired and feeling sleepy
• "Fuck! You scared the shit out of my system" She giggled happily holding her chest, guess she's happy seeing me
• "You look pale, are you sick?" She asks checking out my temperature
• "It would have been better if I'm sick" I murmured, guess she heard it
• "Eiyyyy….be positive" She groans punching me slightly
• "I think I'm in a mess," I said tears trickling down my eyes
• "Shit Ashley what happened?" She asks in panic drawing her chair closer
• Nelly is the only one that knows the nature of my job, she never for one day makes a mockery of me, instead, she understands and respects my decision.
• "I'm pregnant"
• "Fuck! How did it happen?" She asks standing up
• "You remember the stranger I told you about the last time I visited the club?"
• "Yes…your cute unknown stranger" She emphasizes
• "That's it, guess I was carried away by fantasy and forgot to take my after pill
• " What do I do?" I said close to tearing up as I facepalm myself.
• "Ohh…..my come here" She came towards me hugging me to herself,
• "He or she it's a blessing, you're keeping the child"
• "But…" I made to say, but Nelly stepped back and sat in front of me, she took hold of my two hands
• "What if this child is a blessing from God?"
• "Can God bless a sinner like me?" I ask in tears
• "God is so merciful and we're just humans we don't have the right to judge, God is the only one to do that"
• "So you think I'm doing the right thing by keeping the baby?"
• "Definitely" She giggles
• "Why are you so happy?" I ask
• "Gosh I can't believe I will be an aunt soon"
• My smile faded when she made that statement
• "Come on why are you sad?, we are supposed to be celebrating" She pouted her lips making her look cute, I was tempted to laugh, but I still have one more news to break to her, I don't know how she's going to react
• "I have something else to tell you"
• "I'm listening," She said with a serious face, sitting down
• "I'm leaving Los Angeles"
• "What!!!?, why?" She screamed
• "Come on bring down your voice" I hush looking around
• "Don't tell me you're leaving me behind"
• "I need a fresh start, Nelly, Los Angeles has so many bad memories that I want to forget
• "Where are you going then?"
• "London"
• "When are you leaving?"
• "Tomorrow"
• "What so….soon?" She yelled
• "Calm down lower your voice, someone might hear you"
• "So why are you telling me just now"
• "Listen Nelly I found out I was pregnant today too, I don't know but I can't stay any more days here, I need to leave this place"
• "Are you afraid of anything?"
• "How do you know," I ask her
• "Tell me" She urged
• "I don't know for some reason I think I'm been followed"
• "Since when did you start feeling way"
• "Recently," I said, but damn I noticed Nelly shift uncomfortably
• Nelly's phone rang and she excused herself to take the call. I stood up to get myself a cup of cappuccino when I saw a man in black tuxedo leaving through the back at a fast pace.
