Chapter 8 Honeymoon In Japan Two (Her Revenge Gone Wrong)
- Chapter 8
- Alexis
- I failed, and my revenge didn't work, but as they say, "Better luck next time."
- So, ugly Zac, watch out!
- What a demon, girl!
- Stop it, Brain, it's now or never!
- I woke up early and headed into the kitchen. Guess what's on my mind?
- Let's do this!
- The kitchen staff were busy. Zac requested sushi for breakfast, his favorite Japanese dish.
- Now, let's focus on our target - the sushi!
- "Hey, Chef! Can you get me some toasted bread or any available bread?" I gave him my sweetest smile, hoping he'd leave, even if only for a moment.
- "Sure, Madam, I'll get it for you."
- Then he walked away.
- It's time for my revenge!
- I quickly grabbed the bottles of salt and sugar. Then sprinkle them into the sushi mixture. Perfect timing, too - the Chef hadn't rolled the sushi yet. Now, enjoy your meal, Zac! Haha.
- I smirk evilly.
- I didn't leave the kitchen until the Chef had wrapped and rolled the sushi.
- It's a done deal, bestie! I'm so excited. Ugly Zac, this is your real revenge, hehe!
- It's breakfast time. I innocently sat at the table, smiling as if nothing had happened.
- And the moment of truth arrived when Zac's favorite sushi was served.
- Of course, I didn't want to eat my handiwork, so I had no idea what it tasted like - sweet or salty.
- That was for Zac to find out.
- "Go ahead, eat it!" I thought, trying to stifle a laugh.
- Zac picked up the sushi and took a bite.
- Success!
- He suddenly spat it out and gagged. I struggled to hold back my laughter, not wanting to arouse his suspicion. Instead, I offered him water.
- "Are you okay?" I asked with concern, putting on a worried face to appear convincing.
- Zac didn't respond and continued gagging. His eyes and nose turned red!
- What happened? I started to feel a bit anxious.
- "Call the chef!" Zac ordered.
- I quickly ran to call the chef.
- "Sir, there's a lot of sugar in my sushi!" the chef exclaimed, looking frightened, with tears welling up in his eyes.
- "Why, Chef? What's wrong with the sugar?" I asked, feeling guilty.
- "Sir Walker has a sugar allergy. It's rare to have sugar intolerance, but he has this disease. That's why I always make sure to cook his dishes safely and with care. But I don't know how this happened," the chef said, on the verge of tears.
- Sorry, Chef!
- I was starting to panic. What if Zac dies? I'll be a criminal!
- "Then let's call for an ambulance!" I exclaimed.
- "Don't worry, I've already called his private doctor," interrupted an elderly woman, the head of the maids.
- I felt a bit relieved. And a few moments later, Zac's doctor arrived with several nurses.
- Wow! Zac had brought the entire hospital staff to the mansion.
- Zac was immediately rushed to the mini-hospital.
- Who would have thought they had one here? They're always ready.
- However, the head maid had been giving me death glares since earlier, clearly disapproving of my appearance.
- I don't care! If she doesn't like me, that's her problem.
- My phone suddenly rang. It was Rond! He'd been out of touch for a while. I looked for a quiet spot to talk to him.
- "Bebe, I miss you," I said affectionately.
- But there was no response on the other end of the line. Bebe was still mad!
- "Sorry, Bebe, please forgive me," I cooed again.
- "I miss you too," Rond finally replied. At last, Bebe was talking to me!
- "How are you? We still have a week before we see each other," I said sadly.
- Rond was furious. "That old man is wicked! Did he harass you?" he asked.
- But I was confused. "Bebe, harass? I don't get it," I replied.
- "I mean... did anything happen between you two?" he asked directly.
- Nothing yet, my mind responded.
- I hadn't told Rond about our contract yet; I'd tell him later when I got back.
- "Uh, no, Bebe. Zac's just sick and busy with work here" was all I could say.
- "That's good, hopefully, he will not recover! And then you'll be free," Rond replied angrily.
- But I felt a chill run down my spine.
- Oh no, I hope not! I don't want to be a criminal.
- "Hey, Bebe, that's not right. Don't talk like that," I scolded Rond.
- "Tsk! He's not going to die yet. He's just a weed," Rond retorted bitterly.
- "Let's change the subject, Bebe. I miss you, be careful there, okay?" I cooed, trying to steer the conversation away from Zac.
- I didn't want Zac to get hurt; what if he died? The thought sent shivers down my spine again.
- "I miss you too. One week feels so long. What are you guys doing there?" Bebe still seemed a bit upset.
- "I think he has some business here. I'm not sure. Don't be mad, Bebe," I cooed again.
- Rond let out a deep sigh.
- "I'm frustrated because I miss you so much! I couldn't even hug you before you left." His voice was filled with sadness.
- My heart went out to him as he exclaimed my name, and I felt touched by his words.
- "It's okay, Bebe, don't be sad. It's just one week. Time will pass, and we'll get through this together. Let's be strong, Bebe."
- I tried to boost Bebe's morale, feeling sorry for his sadness.
- "Of course, I'm always ready to fight, Bebe. Take care there, okay? I'll call you again. I love you..." Rond said affectionately, making me blush.
- "I love you too, my Bebe. Bye..." I bid farewell, even blowing a kiss into my phone.
- When I turned around, my heart nearly skipped a beat! I was startled and frightened. The head maid was standing behind me, her eyes fixed intently on me. It was a horror moment!
- I was so shocked that I grasped my chest to calm down.
- "Yes?" I asked her, and she took her time to respond.
- She scrutinized me from head to toe! This maid was quite bold.
- "I saw what you did! And fortunately, Sir Zac is doing fine right now. But... if you do it again, I won't tolerate you anymore! So, you better watch out, because I'm keeping an eye on you!"
- After issuing that warning, she left me.
- Was she just threatening me?
- But she knew what I did!
- I heard Zac is okay now, so I should go see him to ease my guilt.
- And indeed, he looked fine. My anxiety and guilt started to fade. For now, I'll be nice. I brought some fruit.
- "Hello Zac, are you feeling better?" I asked cheerfully.
- But his face remained serious.
- "I brought fruits, want some?" I asked again.
- "Just put it there!" he replied, showing no interest.
- What's wrong with this guy?
- And here comes the Horror Head Maid again.
- She handed Zac slices of fruit, and he accepted them with a smile.
- What a fake, Zac!
- Wait, I'm the wife! Am I going to let this maid outdo me? Never!
- "Try this, Zac. The grapes are sweet," I said, feeding him.
- It's your problem, not mine!
- Horror Maid raised an eyebrow, looking displeased.
- Zac gestured to the head maid to leave, and thankfully, she did. That annoying presence was getting on my nerves!
- "Drop the act, Alexis," Zac said softly.
- I suddenly felt nervous. "What do you mean?" I asked, feigning confusion.
- "I knew everything you did, but I let it slide... Now I know how much you wanted me to die." His response was emotionless.
- He knew? Should I still try to hide it? Let's face it!
- "You knew, then why did you eat the sushi?" I asked, puzzled.
- "I already told you, I was testing you. And the result is positive. If you want me to die, do it after you give me an heir. But not now, I need you first to conceive. Then you can do whatever you want after that," he explained.
- This guy is something else!
- I almost killed him, but he remained calm. I don't know whether to apologize or what.
- But I'm innocent, after all!
- "I didn't know you had a sugar allergy. It's funny, I couldn't believe it. And it wasn't intentional. I'm innocent," I replied defiantly.
- He just smirked. What a rock!
- "Innocent little devil," he said.
- "Huh? You're the devil, not me! Why am I the one being blamed? And another thing, you're fine now. You're overreacting," I couldn't help but get annoyed.
- He looked at me sternly.
- "Just don't do it again. Or else... you'll be giving me an heir, right now."
- "Whatever, pervert!"
- I stormed out on the despicable Zac. He's eager to have an heir, isn't he?
- The thought of it makes me anxious. I'm not ready to have a child, for goodness' sake!
- I'm still very young, and he's already old! That's why he desperately needs an heir. How am I supposed to tell Rond about all of this?
