• I don’t know where I’m going, but I can’t stop now. I have to get as far away from the Dean as possible.
• With each stride I take to distance myself from him, his words keep echoing in my head. He has found his second mate. From the gleam in his eyes when he was talking, I can tell that the Dean is happy. However, I’m not happy. I’m crushed.
• I don’t know what I’ve been expecting. The Moon Goddess has given the Dean a woman for his first mate, so why would I even hope for him to be willing to having me as his partner.
