Chapter 6

  • After that they left the smith family, Andrew smith looked at the house where he grew up and took a deep breath
  • “this is for the best, they have never loved me since I was younger or appreciated anything I have done for them”.
  • “They always insult me and cause trouble for me, what’s worse they never respected nor loved my wife and daughter”.
  • He promised once again to work hard and make his wife and daughter proud and make them have a name in the society.
  • "Dad, if you regret having made this decision, we can go back and apologise," his daughter added, "But I want you to know that you are strong, and if you put your mind to something and we work together as a family, we will make it and make them regret having treated you like that."
  • “husband I'm extremely proud of you today; you stood up for our family, which made you the best husband and father possible; we will always be there for you. We will always be there for you."
  • He looked at his family, his wife who has been with him for twenty-two years, she has never complained not even once when his family mistreated her or even when their daughter was taken away.
  • He looked at his daughter whom he owes too much that he feels even this entire life will not be enough to pay her, her dreams and future were destroyed just because of his cowardice.
  • "From now on, dad will make you proud; you will never be short of anything!" I'm going to work hard to improve your life, and I'm going to make sure you divorce that man and marry the one you love."
  • She smiled as she felt her father had accepted to stand on his foot for the first time to defend their family; she had always known her parents loved her but circumstances had deprived them and their chances to be together, but she believed in her father because he is always a man who keeps his word; he couldn't have sacrificed his future to marry her mother if it wasn't for his honesty.
  • "I'm so proud of you, dad! just work hard for our family and don't put too much pressure on yourself because we want you to be alive and well to look after our family, and one more thing, I'm marrying Levy Anthony, not because of grandpa, but because I would have married sooner or later."
  • “So what difference does it make if I married earlier? Besides, we don't know if he's really not a nice man because everything we know and remember, people can be lying, imagine a lot of people calling you good for nothing and my mom a gold-digger, me ugly and stupid, but are we really that? no, let's try this marriage, you never know it might be the best decision we've ever made."
  • "Honey, listen to our daughter, we believe in you and we are going to make our family prosperous," his wife stated. "I'm going to start working as well, so don't worry, we will share the costs."
  • At the time, Andrew had a message on his phone, so he checked to see what it was about, only to find out that the Smith family had given him his money that he had worked for. He was so happy that he hugged his family and told them the good news, then he told them to find a restaurant to eat their meal because it was already getting dark, and then he would take them to show them a surprise.
  • They drove out the Smith family, and he said, "Thank God I was able to buy my own car, otherwise how will we be moving from here without a car, and it's difficult to order a taxi."
  • They continued to chart until they arrived to the restaurant, where they all ordered their favourite meal and celebrated their independence.
  • Meanwhile, everyone in the smith family had a grimace on their face, they couldn't believe that their father/grandpa had given all that money to those good for nothing bastards, yet they had left the family, they felt suffocated that if given a chance they could kill those good for nothing cheater, but they tried to calm down as they remembered that Andrew and his family will never be part of the smith family all, this is now theirs, they only need to act to convince the old man to trust them and hand over the position of the family head to them.
  • The entire Smith family was calculating. They were filled with greed for money and power, and now that their greatest threat has been exposed, it's about time for everyone to play the role of gaining the old man and woman's heart, because whomever gets on their good side is more likely to be the family's head.
  • The younger generation, especially the boys Samuel and Liam, had their own minds as everyone thought he should be the heir, they looked at their parents' eyes and saw the greed they had and felt it's high time we also fight for ourselves.
  • As for the girls, they just wanted their own family to be in power, so that they could be better than their friends and brag about it, so they made a note to use their men to help their family rise to power.
  • If Old man and old woman smith could hear or know what was in their family’s mind, they may died before their time.
  • The old man said “well it’s over let’s all go to our bedrooms to rest”.
  • Stacey, who despises Sandra the most, raised a question that was almost forgotten on everyone's mind: "How could Sandra leave like that?"
  • "Can anyone tell me how Sandra met the A firm institute Boss in the city?"
  • “Does she has been having an affair with him; otherwise, how can he consent to work for her and even go against the Smith for her?"
  • For a few seconds, the entire Smith family was silent before George and Richard, together with their spouses, burst out laughing.
  • "Well, Dad, I believe what Stacey said is true; otherwise, how could that good for nothing know Jack and, more importantly, his willingness to do anything for, she grew up in the village, how could she have access to Mr. Jack who has always been in City A, she even refused to tell her parents where she met Mr. Jack or how she knew him?"
