Chapter 66 Lunch For Four

• I was driving us to Andrew’s place. I could tell my wife didn’t like the idea, and she was going there because of me. It’s a good thing I didn’t give him a call to tell him I changed my mind. My family comes first, so I did what was best for my wife and kids. As the cars stopped at the red robot, I made an immediate booking at one of my hotels. Since we were going to have lunch, we might as well do it just the two of us. I mean, four of us. I made sure they gave me the top floor and set it up within an hour while I drove around to buy them some time to finish with everything. I looked at her and saw she was rubbing her tummy. I figured the twins might be giving her a hard time. I placed one of my hands on her tummy as I drove, and then I felt kicks. My heart skipped a million times in just one beat. A beautiful feeling I would give anything to feel. I looked at her. She was still a little anxious about meeting her ex and every other person she knew. I wouldn’t want to put too much pressure on her. The last time that happened, I almost lost the three of them. As we drove to an ice cream shop, she cast a glance at me.
• “The kids need the actual ice cream this time around.” She giggled. I bought ice cream for her and watched as she took the first spoon and closed her eyes and moaned as she ate.
