• "Why do you look so flushed, Tricia? Have you caught a cold or something?" Josephine asked when she saw Patricia entering the kitchen with a crimson face.
• Patricia felt her face in response. She had already felt her face burning earlier, and now that Josephine pointed it out, she felt even more mortified. "Nothing. I'm just feeling a little warm. The heater here's pretty strong."
