Chapter 48

• Luna's eyes widened at what he just said; there was no way that he was saying the truth. Her mother had tried to make peace between them but only got herself killed. She was sure her father was concerned about her safety.
• Her mother wanted to create peace because she wanted her daughter to be able to move freely and be herself among the rest of the crowd. Luna's heart ached at the thought of her mother giving up her goals to sacrifice herself to save her.
• Her father had every right to hide her; her dual nature was already a threat to him. He could not use the borrowed powers anymore because he kept her even though he was the only student who mastered the air element.
