Chapter 14

• Asher and Lily didn't utter another word to each after their little incident. Asher kept himself busy with work, and phonecalls, while Lily spent her time browsing through Gloria's interior design collection, trying to come up with something for the big project she has coming up.
• Their vow of silence was broken when it was finally time to sleep, and Asher picked up the pillow and an extra sheet from the wardrobe. "You can have the bed tonight, I'll sleep on the couch. It's comfortable enough for me." He said, and Lily looked up from her phone. She wanted to tell him it was okay for them to share the bed, but the moment she tried to, the memories of what transpired earlier came pouring into her mind, making her tongue too heavy for her to move and speak, so she just bobbed her head and watched him leave.
• The minute he stepped out of the room, Lily decided to sign out for the night as well before she'll give into her instincts to call him in and have them share their bed. And it wasn't just because she cared, a part of her also wanted to find out how dangerous it could be for them to share a bed. Feeling the heat creep up her neck and her cheeks, she slapped her cheeks lightly before tucking herself into bed.
