Chapter 10 (The Pain)

  • Third-person Pov:
  • It has been three days since the incident, and Mira has not been herself. It hurts her that her once quiet life has turned 180 degrees in seconds, not only was she arranged to marry a total stranger and a man that he knew nothing about but also the moon goddess has blessed her with a mate that didn't want her. Even after staying here for four days, Mira hasn't seen her supposed husband. The last thing she wants now is to meet her husband but she can't avoid it for long since their marriage ceremony is in two days from now. Leaving her self-centered mate and getting married to another sickens her and makes her feel nauseous.
  • "Ouch…" she groans, as she feels pain shoot through her head even though it has been three days since her mate injured her, her head still hurts her like crazy. She locks herself for the past few days to avoid her mate or her demon husband. She caresses her scalp before swiveling to the other side of the bed. Her lips looked dry, and she had dark circles under her eyes due to lack of sleep. Her eyes are reddish due to too much crying, she looks feeble.
  • Standing up from the bed, she walks lamely to the bathroom. Holding the doorknob, she felt a pain piercing through her heart like a hot sharp blade, holding her heart she lowered as she screeched in pain. Another tremendous pain shoots through her heart again causing her to stagger back and fall on the cold floor.
  • "Haa…had!" She cries out as hot tears trail down her face, she tried crawling to the bed but the pain was too much. She feels her bones being ripped out of her flesh, it felt like the air was choking her, and her skin felt like they were simmering. Her eyes popped out of their socket as she sob hard holding her stomach, her body is ailing her, the only thing that can be heard in that room is her whimper and heavy breathing.
  • After some hours of being in pain, of thinking that she is going to succumb, the pain lessens. She thanked the moon goddess as she started crawling to her bed, placing her hand on the bed with a faint breath.
  • "No…no!!" She plummets to the floor immediately with her back hitting the cold and hard floor as she wails in pain. " What is happening to her? Is this how she is going to leave this world?" Too many questions kept popping into her head as she groaned in agony.
  • "Heaven…" with a muffled voice she tried connecting with her wolf but she got no response.
  • "Please heaven….. Answer me, don't leave me alone in this pain. You know you are the only….." She didn't get to finish as another pain shot through her stomach to her heart and then straight to her head.
  • "Haaaaaa…..Please!!" She shouts out for help as she pleads with the moon goddess to lessen the pain for it is too much for her and Heaven to handle. Supporting her head with her two hands she cries out for help as she tried to squirm to the door, crawling on her stomach she felt another pain, rolling around the room with her hand positioned on her stomach, her head smashed with the wall.
  • "Haaa…." She groans in pain, she looks pale, and her lips tremble as tears rain down her cheeks. Her body quivered in pain and fear, her leg felt heavy for her to stand. She tried holding a chair but her hand slipped and she fell with the chair hitting her head. She felt the blood oozing out of her nostril. Using the back of her hand she tried wiping it off, but the blood kept trickling down her nose. She causes down under her breath, she hates the moon goddess for allowing her to pass through this pain even at this tender age.
  • She regrets clocking 18 years, for when she was underage she was a free, lonely, and quiet girl but now her life has taken a u-turn. She flings and notices blood droplets on the floor, her clothing is drenched with her blood. She regretted everything that has happened to her so far in her life, as she felt another pain. She felt numb, she sobs until there are no more tears coming out again.
  • "Is this how her stay here is going to be?" She implored inwardly to herself.
  • "No… I am the strongest warrior in my pack, so I won't allow them to view me as weak," she tried encouraging herself which seems impossible as her whole body hurts her, she feels as if her flesh has been bunched out of her skin.
  • "Heaven,"  trying to connect with her wolf again, she got no reply in return as she felt her head spinning, hitting the floor with her bare hands. She groaned as the pain is too much for her to handle, and her wolf isn't helping the matter at all. She noticed that she is alone in this pain.
  • "You can do this Mira," she tried encouraging herself again, after miscellaneous times of trying to encourage herself, it started working as she felt a small strength enter her body, she trudged to a nearby table and used it for support to stand up, standing up she gives herself a victorious smile and thumbs up but to her astonishment her leg slip as she fell with her head colliding with the wall again.
  • "Haa…" she cries out in pain as she jerks her back up with her body trembling in pain, the hitter spot swells and turns reddish. She heard some voices outside her room.
  • "Help!…" she screamed to whoever is behind those closed doors, she can't hide the pain anymore, though she doesn't know what is happening to her she prays for it to stop. The voice faded as time passed by and life was already living out of her body. With a heavy breath,  she pleaded to the moon goddess for the last time to send her a savior or help her out of this pain, with a blurry vision she heard a knock at the door and thanked the moon goddess for sending a savior. After several knocks, the person behind the door twisted the doorknob.
