Hector didn't want to tell Mariana the truth about Luke's condition because he didn't want Mariana to be worried.the truth was that after he drank her blood,he hasn't woken up since.even the doctor didn't know what to do about it anymore.they only hoped a miracle would happen so Luke would wake up.the doctor said that he may die from this.
Hector blamed himself,he should have told Mariana that the doctor didn't want Luke to drink blood in his condition but he didn't occur to him that Mariana would give Luke her blood.
They had stayed longer than they planned in this country and he knows that soon, Luke's enemies would know about his disappearance and probably find out about his condition and they would try to strike now he was in a weak state.he was never going to allow that to happen,he needs to go back to their country as soon as possible to take care of things there.he would assign Luke's trusted men to stay back and protect Luke while he returns back to their country.
