• Lack of clarity gnawed on Vanessa as she moved back and forth in her room. Last night's conversation with Darryl felt so heavy on her that she couldn't sleep. From last night until dawn, Darryl's words were the only thing she could think about. Just like that, he asked her to marry him. The audacity!
