• The creepy bald man from the party was walking right to the direction of the elevator. Why was he here? What did he have to do with Hunter? Could he...? Did Hunter...? Oh, God!! A swirl of questions flooded my head as I pushed on the first floor button, praying he wouldn't notice. But since fate wasn't working in my favor lately, his eyes landed on me, and his feet padded faster.

• My breath got caught in my throat, and my heart felt like jumping out of my mouth. I kept pushing on the button until a ding reached my ear. A sigh of relief almost left my mouth when a foot stepped in-between the closing doors, blocking the process.
