Chapter 42 Forty Two

• “You look lovely,” Kalix greeted as I walked out of the room. He was holding his laptop, but his gaze was on me. I frowned. “Oh, I’m just finalizing some papers, baby. But I’m done now,” he said as he closed his laptop.
• “I’m just wearing my uniform, Kalix. Nothing lovely about this,” I replied, heading straight to the kitchen. I saw that breakfast was already on the table, so I just made myself some coffee.
• It was past six-thirty in the morning, and I still couldn’t believe I had to go to school. I was a third-year college student.
