Chapter 8

• Two days passed, I stood before the mirror looking at the corporate outfit I was wearing. It was a pastel green gown with rape flowers on it, I packed my hair up and wore white flat shoes. I sighed hoping it will go well. I never applied for the job but I was sent an e-mail after the restaurant cancelled their vacancy. It was a strange job, I had to be available every weekend to act as a personal assistant to a mysterious VIP. The pay was really tempting so I decided to check it out. I knew I had only 10% chances especially if the so-called VIP was a male but I really needed a job now. I headed out after exchanging a few words with Aurora. I took a cab to the location written in the e-mail. I arrived at a huge white-coloured building with different plants covering both sides. The gate was open so I walked in, there was a large fruit tree planted at the corner. I walked towards the door and rang the bell, a voice sounded from the receiver,
• “Please state your name and reason for coming”
• “Uh..Um… my name is Lana and I’m here for personal assistant job”. There was silence for a while before the voice sounded again. “Come in and head upstairs”. The door opened and I stepped in, the whole place was quiet. I walked up the stairs. A young man was waiting there. I kept a slight distance from him.
