• I covered my face with my fists as I begin to cry loudly with a heavy broken heart ripped out of my chest. I lowered my head as the medical staff who were around allowed me to cry and I allowed them to see me vulnerable and in pain. I slowly stand on my feet as I begin to gather myself together and inhaled some courage before I take a closer step towards Merry.
• The moment I was near her, my tears kept flowing out from my eyes and the more I see her lying there, sleeping as they begin to pull out her heart monitor and ventilator, my heart felt like it's being crushed to the tiniest pieces possible. The pain was striking deeply inside me and I know for sure that I wouldn't be able to move on from this at all.
