Chapter 13

• She immediately captured everyone's attention in the conference room: Mr. Robert, the investors, and a few other colleagues sat around the big table, all of them in their formal attire, the investors wearing blue suits. The scene before her sent a rush of confidence flowing through her veins. Flashing a bright smile, she began to make her way to the front of the room, her heels clicking on the floor.
• "Good morning, sir," sera greeted all who were present in the conference room with a voice that should not give her butterflies inside. Her mind was racing with fears within just a blink of the eye, scanning the clients' faces, but then immediately reminded herself what lay at stake. She thought about how heinous her boss Enzo would react if things didn't go well, and that gave her the courage to push through.
• "And who is she?" one of the investors threw at Enzo , an eyebrow raised.
