Chapter 9 Let’s go to your place

• I was startled by a knock on the fancy wood I was leaning on. When I opened my eyes, I watched Jason retreat to his desk like I was dreaming. I took a few deep breaths while his back was towards me. Then I ironed my green skirt and vest to hide how weak I felt under his attention.
• He hadn’t even kiss me!
• Taking his place on his office chair, his lips were slightly lifted at the corners when he spoke in a cool voice “Come in!”
