Chapter 10 Cock Grew More Hard

  • David's POV.
  • “Alright. My regards to your father.” I say to Claire as she’s about to step out of my car.
  • I'm only hanging on a thin thread, keeping myself from transferring my aggression to anyone around.
  • The stunt Vera pulled some moments ago is enough to make me go wild and vent.
  • I swear. I almost threw things just to get off some steam.
  • That girl… knows just the right string to pull and have me dancing to the tune she literally wants.
  • Wasn’t it last night that she was fucking that little cunt of hers and was begging I lick her nipples?
  • Damn! I’m screwed, really. I got off on the idea that she was thinking about me while fingering her pussy, that I imagined a grand reunion between us this morning.
  • Only for her to act funny.
  • Dammit, my whole body went haywire that instant I stared up at her and saw her in that flimsy tank top with her pert nipples gazing at me.
  • I could swear my gaze over her nipples made them more hard. Jeez!
  • The girl is doing shitty things to me. I can’t tamp down on my feelings. Not at all. But then when she acted out, the horniness I felt got mixed with annoyance. My cock grew more hard, dammit.
  • It took me dozens of self-control not to pull her into my room, spank her ass and get her wet before fucking out my frustration on her.
  • “Definitely will.” Claire’s voice interrupts my train of thought and she scoots closer and presses kisses on my cheeks. “I'll handle dinner tomorrow…”She smiles. “And I’m inviting you over. Dad's going to show up too. You know how much he loves your presence?”
  • “I'm not certain I’ll be there, Claire.” I snap. I’m just pissed and I’ll love to be left alone but the woman keeps pushing and pulling at my strings.
  • “Well, then I’ll give you a call. You should also use that opportunity to pitch your proposal to Dad. You know my father is one hell of a tough man. Not so easy to appeal but if you keep coming around and pitching the idea, he'll relent.”
  • I heave a breath. Damn, she’s right. Mr. Oliver, despite being old, isn’t easy to please. Not at all.
  • Though he’s not running the GreenLife conglomerate again because he made his heir the general manager, he still controls the conglomerate.
  • Half of the decision made in the company is assented by him and that’s the reason I went through him rather than his son. So, Claire’s right in what she said about her father being a hard man to appeal to.
  • But then, I don’t wish to have this dinner with them. Not now that Vera and I are having issues. So, intend to make it up to her.
  • Maybe, spending time watching movies like we usually do will help to patch things up with her.
  • Either way, I give Claire a consenting nod. “No problem. If I’m free by the time you call, I’ll let you know.” I rasp out.
  • A smile breaks satisfactorily across her face and she gives me one last, long kiss before she hurries away.
  • Then my driver steers the car to my company.
  • I storm out of my car with the exact same anger rolling off of me as I walk into the building.
  • Everyone quickly composts themselves at the sight of me. It’s no news that I’m known as a ruthless and cold CEO.
  • That’s exactly how I act impulsively when I'm in a mood like this. And truthfully, it doesn’t always end up well for whoever is at the receiving end of my frustration or anger.
  • “Good morning, sir.” Charlie bustles over to me and greets me. His iPad is clasped tightly in his hands as he scrolls through it to read out my schedule like he usually does.
  • “You have a meeting with the investors by two p.m.”
  • “Your coffee break is in about an hour and Mr. Edwards indicated he’d love to have a personal meeting with you during the break.
  • “The marketing team has constructed an advert for the new Truman cars and its presentation is just about to start.” He goes on and on about the shits I’m expected to do.
  • However, just one thing strikes home and that’s the advertisement. I halt and turn to face Charlie.
  • “When you did say the presentation for the advertisement is taking place?”
  • Charlie blinks, surprised that I take interest particularly in that. Usually, I don’t give much attention to whatever advertisements the team creates for our cars but with the way I’m feeling, I need to drive my focus into something else.
  • “Oh…uh…” he stutters. “In twenty minutes, sir.” He rattles off.
  • “Fine. Lead the way.” I tell him and he starts off on shaky legs, leading me to the marketing department’s floor.

  • My presence on the marketing department floor makes everyone rush and sit in the cubicle. The ones in charge of presenting the advertisement then rush into the board room.
  • I settle on the head seat and stare hard at the projector screen set just at the end of the table.
  • Everyone who comes into the room sends a cable of greeting to me and I only respond with a nod.
  • A few minutes later, the head of the department and others sitting at the table start clapping with excitement after watching the video playing but I don’t move.
  • The presenter starts making his presentation and shit.
  • Just then, my mind drifts off again.
  • Kid's mad at me and I don’t know how to go about it now to make it up to her.
  • Usually, we do fight sometimes and I make it up by getting her presents.
  • What kinda of presents will I get this time and please her?
  • Hell, that prom night meant a lot to her and I fucking missed it, so getting her shits like clothes, a phone or money isn’t going to suit her.
  • Hmm…Vera has every damn thing no girl in the States has. She fucking does. She has her personal latest Ford car and Audi, the gifts I gave her on her eighteenth birthday.
  • So, she lacks nothing.
  • At the thought of her, I grab my cell and text her. I heard her telling Irene she has swimming session at school this morning so I don’t think calling will be acceptable.
  • “Kid, how’s the swimming sports going?” I type into my phone and send.
  • The heck? This message isn’t that catchy. I try again.
  • “Still mad at dad?” I send it.
  • Oh, fuck. This is shit. It’s not going to work.
  • “C'mon, Kid. Tell me what you want. Let Daddy make it up to you.”
  • She doesn’t respond to any of the messages though.
  • I peer at the guy making the presentation and my frustration doubles.
  • “I don’t see any catchy headlines in this advertisement.”
  • The moment my voice booms, everyone at the table…in the room turns to look at me, surprise etched on their features.
  • I bit my tongue but still continues afterwards.
  • “You and your team keep spilling bullshit about the cars and its features. Yet, I don’t see where you mentioned how it'll solve the customers' problem!”
  • This time, I erect on my feet and tower over everyone else. Normally, my huge form makes people shudder at the sight of me.
  • “The essence of every product we make in this company is to solve customers' problems. Don’t forget, Truman Cars is highly customer-centric.” I take a quick inhale.
  • “So this advert has not gone into detail on how to solve these customer's problems. No, I don’t accept this advert. It’s shitty. Messed up. Try harder.” I boom out.
  • Ms. Sanders the head of the department is already shaking at my decision “Mr. CEO the advert is the best…”
  • “I said no and I’m calling it off. I give you all two days to give me something more l customer-appealing or you all will go on suspension.” I holler and they quickly shake their heads.
  • The chair behind me scrapes over the floor as I push it back and then head over to the door.
  • Just as I’m about to cross the threshold my phone ping and I fish it out.
  • “I want to have a boyfriend. That’s the only way you can make it up to me.”
  • Seeing the message, blood rushes to my ears and eyes. Over my fucking dead body will I allow that!
  • With a curse, I storm out and head over to her school. She’s got to be kidding me.
