Chapter 5 Start Of A New School
- Because the photos were far too tempting, the post gained thousands of comments in less than a minute.
- [Oh my God, is this real? You’re telling me the drop-dead gorgeous guy I ran into on the street is actually working the counter at a food shop??? And the food there is insanely cheap too??]
- [Creamery Creamer. Zone Z, No. 7 Lily Street. I’m on my way~]
- [Look at that perfect jawline and those forearms. I’m going insane over him, but before that, let me try the desserts from this place. They look so good...]
- [Black-haired hottie: Baby, do you want to eat our cupcake first, or me?]
- [Awwww, can’t I have both?]
- Along with the flood of comments came a sudden wave of customers heading straight for Creamery Creamer.
- Many of the girls had only wanted to see if Sylvia was really as handsome as she looked in the pictures. But once they arrived, they were helplessly drawn in by the rows of beautiful desserts inside the display cases. In the end, they each left with the treat they wanted, eating in bliss as they walked while still updating the post at top speed.
- [I saw the super hot guy! Oh my God, when he handed me my dessert, he even said, “Thank you for your purchase.” I’m losing my mind!]
- [I hereby declare him my idol from this moment on. Can anyone imagine how seductive it is when he smiles and says, “All products from Creamery Creamer are made with the finest ingredients. We aim to bring a smile to your face with the best service and the most affordable prices”? Baby, you’re the cream cake I want to eat the most.]

- [Selfie with hot guy, though technically I took it secretly.jpg]
- “Thank you for visiting Creamery Creamer. May your day be as cute and full of energy as a bear paw.”
- Sylvia smiled as she handed a paper bag printed with a bear-paw logo to the girl in front of her, watching as the customer left with a giggle.
- God.
- This was the first time she had truly felt the advantage of a handsome male face when it came to attracting customers. If she did not get a sip of water soon, she was going to wear herself out.
- Just then, someone handed her a bottle of mineral water.
- “Young man, you’ve worked hard serving all these customers. Take a break.” Sylvia looked up and saw Mike watching her with gentle eyes.
- It seemed that, as agreed, this uncle and business partner of hers had arrived to help manage the store.
- Seeing the handsome young man begin drinking water, Mike nodded with relief.
- “You must be the manager Sylvia hired to run the shop,” he said. “I was watching just now. You’re very skilled with customers. Sylvia really is impressive. She managed to recruit someone as talented as you.”
- Then Mike heard the beautiful young man chuckle and speak in a tone he knew all too well. “Welcome to Creamery Creamer, Uncle Mike. I’m Sylvia.”
- Mike’s glasses almost slid off his face.
- He widened his eyes and stared carefully at Sylvia’s male avatar several times before bursting into praise.
- “Sylvia, you’re amazing! This avatar is so handsome! I’d say he could become the official brand ambassador for our company!” As Mike spoke, though, a trace of worry crossed his face. “I can take over the store management from here, but you have to start classes at Hermes Academy tomorrow. You can’t keep staying here to serve customers all day...”
- “I studied AI programming at school before, Uncle Mike. I’ll leave a virtual image on the starnet that perfectly copies my customer-service behavior, so it can receive new customers for me. It won’t affect my studies.” Sylvia smiled at Mike. “I’ve also encrypted all the recipe information stored in the shop. No one will be able to steal it.”
- Of course, the virtual image and cybersecurity were all handled by Susu from start to finish.
- But there was no need to let her worry-prone uncle know that.
- “You really are a genius, Sylvia,” Mike said sincerely.
- Then his expression turned determined. “Leave the rest to me. I’ll take good care of everything.”
- The thought of the company’s future filled Mike with drive again.
- In his heart, he thanked Mr. and Mrs. Austen in heaven once more.
- Thank you for protecting her.
- Thank you for letting Sylvia grow into such an outstanding girl.
- When Sylvia returned to the real world, the robot Bai had already brought Asher home from kindergarten.
- Sylvia prepared cheese and tomato meat-sauce pasta with stew for dinner, and the siblings sank into a warm, peaceful meal together.
- Asher happily told Sylvia everything that had happened at school.
- Because of the food his sister had made, he had become the most popular child in class. Everyone rushed to lend him toys and asked to be his partner during group activities, all so they could taste the food she made.
- “But I said no to the people who used to bully me, and I stayed loyal to my friend Ayaan,” Asher said seriously. “I think Sister’s love should be shared with people who deserve it, not traded away just because someone tries to flatter me.”
- The boy looked at her with pure devotion.
- “Sister, your love is the most precious thing in the whole world. Thank you for loving me like this. I love you too.”
- His confession touched Sylvia.
- She had thought she had long forgotten the disgusting family from her disaster-ridden world.
- Her scheming stepmother, who had tried to sell her to merchants in exchange for food.
- Her biased father, who believed everyone else and threw her out of the house.
- Those people had frozen her heart layer by layer.
- But now, in this interstellar world, Sylvia felt the long-lost bud of love growing from Asher.
- As a reward, the next day, Sylvia baked a large batch of chocolate hazelnut cookies. She packed them all into pretty paper boxes and asked Asher to bring them to kindergarten to share with his friends.
- She sincerely hoped this child’s future would become bright and beautiful with good food by his side.
- And, of course, with plenty of love.
- After sending Asher off, Sylvia also headed to her new school, Hermes Academy.
- This was the best school Mike could find within his ability. Among the thousands of high schools across the interstellar empire, it ranked within the top five hundred.
- Unsurprisingly, the original Sylvia’s poor spiritual power and weak physical condition did not earn her any favor from the teachers. She was even moved from third year down to first year, forced to start over with the basics.
- But for the current Sylvia, that was not a bad thing.
- After all, basic knowledge was the first stepping stone she needed to understand this world.
- As for the terrible reputation that followed the original owner around like a shadow...
- Unfortunately, Sylvia had no interest in the students who mocked her and pointed at her in the hallways. Nor did she plan to befriend them.
- To Sylvia, the most important thing right now was improving her strength as quickly as possible.
- And so, her new reputation as an icy snob and an untouchable princess soon spread through the academy as well.
- ~Roland Academy~
- Inside the training room, two young men were busy fighting projected monsters.
- Soon, one of them collapsed to the floor and began complaining loudly. “You’re secretly a robot, aren’t you, Ian? Four straight hours of training, and you haven’t even frowned once? I’m dying over here!”
- The young man called Ian was tall and strikingly handsome. His muscles followed perfect proportions, and he looked arrogant, distant, and impossible to approach. His icy blue eyes stared coldly at the projected monster.
- Moved fast and clean, Ian restrained the monster the moment it lunged at him.
- With one hard twist of his arm, the projection shattered into particles of light.
- His friend, Colton, who was panting from exhaustion, immediately started rambling again. “You’re already the top student at the top academy, Your Highness, future heir of the Interstellar Empire. Can’t you let yourself think about something relaxing for once?”
- Colton sighed. “Students our age should be having campus romances, hugging cheerleaders, exchanging gifts... I heard a girl once confessed to you with an SSS-rank beast core, and after you rejected her, she got expelled. You really are an untouchable nightmare, Your Frost Prince Highness.”
- The final kill score of Ian popped up on the screen.
- SSS.
- “If you still want to try that food shop, shut up, Colton.” Satisfied, Ian turned off the virtual projection and finally answered his friend.
- Colton made a face at him, then walked with Ian out of the training room and toward the login pods.
- “Creamery Creamer. A super famous new dessert shop in Zone Z. It’s been blowing up on the starnet these past two days. Even you, Your Highness, will have to wait in line.” Colton grinned. “You really should try their banana parfait and almond cake. I bet you’ll like them.”
- Ian pushed open the pod door and only gave a cold laugh. “Then let’s see.”
- And just like that, the famous campus star of Roland Academy, the brilliant future heir of the Interstellar Empire, logged onto the starnet.
