Chapter 21
- "Hey," I heard Nate's voice and looked up to see him peeping through the door. I sat up straight immediately and gave him a small smile. I had no idea what to say to him and it was pretty awkward.
- "Hey, didn't you go to work?" I asked in confusion and he just shook his head, pulling a chair to sit down.
- "I wanted to talk to you before heading to work," he cleared his throat.
