• My heartbeat picked up instantly as I knew that Angel was waiting for me with my father because he'd never allow anyone into his study alone, I felt like everything around me was crumbling and breathing had become somewhat hard as I walked towards my father's study.
• As I stood in front of the door I wondered how unbelievably furious my father would be if Angel had told him about my relationship with Axel and I hesitated for a while.
• I'm certain that I stood outside the door for a few minutes before I eventually mustered the courage to knock and enter the study.
