Chapter 1711 Someone's Feeling Sour

  • It turned out that Briley had planted two poisonous plants in the small garden of Anna's mother. One was called Ghost Nightshade , whose fruit resembled small tomatoes, and the other was a plant commonly known as Drunken Heart Flower, which was highly toxic—its scent alone could cause hallucinations.
  • Years ago, Briley had visited her pregnant sister, Tiffany, and intentionally picked some Ghost Nightshade fruits, mixing them into a bowl of small tomatoes to trick her sister into eating them. Just two of those fruits were enough to kill a child, as their toxicity was immense.
  • How much her mother had consumed, Anna didn’t know. But one thing was certain: after eating the Ghost Nightshade, combined with the long-term exposure to the toxic flower's scent, her mother went into premature labor. The calming effects of both the Ghost Nightshade and Drunken Heart Flower made her mother’s contractions weak, eventually leading to a difficult labor and causing her death.
