Aurora sat on the rug, still clutching the chain around her neck as though it was the only anchor she had left.
  • Her breath came in broken gasps. Every time she blinked, she saw Edward’s smirk in the mirror. Every time the thunder cracked, she swore she heard his laugh echo in her ears.
