Chapter 6 Kidnapped

  • When I decided to visit the club, which was ironically called The Lycans, I dressed for the part.
  • Emma had said this could be my impromptu bachelorette party and we had a good laugh about it. We drove to the city along with Emma and another theta girl Melanie.
  • Bobby being all possessive mate had insisted on accompanying us, but we wanted a girl’s night out. We were in the human part of the town where the presence of wolves was nil, we could handle human males easily.
  • Once in London, I was about to be mugged while returning late. All I needed were my claws. The look of terror on that prospective mugger's face was priceless. Harming a human is banned since we live in secrecy, we are not supposed to reveal ourselves. However, we can do so in self-defence and emergencies.
  • I had decided to be a little bit risqué -
  • I wore a black tank top that was meshed and a short red plaid skirt. Not too short, I did not want to feel self-conscious or attract unwanted attention. It was short enough to keep it interesting and long enough to be modest.
  • I felt sexy and stunning by the time I had left along with Emma. The club was packed as usual with gyrating bodies. After four shots and a lot of dancing, I was taking a break.
  • A drunk stumbled over to me near the bar, "Hey, you want to drink gorgeous?" he slurred.
  • I could smell the alcohol and the overpowering smell of his lust.
  • 'Just another annoying human,' I thought.
  • "I am not interested," I said and turned to move away.
  • "Darling," the man whispered huskily, "Shall we go back to my place for tonight?" I could feel him pressing his long hard cock against my ass, rubbing it back and forth enticingly.
  • I wanted to throttle him right there, but we cannot harm humans. There is a law against it.
  • I pulled away and placed hands on my hips, "Why can't you understand a simple No. I am engaged."
  • "Relax, I was just leaving." He glanced apologetically at me and left.
  • I shook my head annoyed. Someone tapped me on the shoulder, and as I turned around, I heard someone whisper, " Hello? Smells like chloroform to you?" and everything faded into darkness.
  • I heard the metallic click of handcuffs being closed around my wrists and then around my ankles. Chloroform does not work on werewolves for long. It knocks them out of a few minutes, but that was enough to kidnap me. The shackles were silver-lined. I knew it instantly when I felt it irritating my skin and I was unable to break them.
  • I was bound and gagged. I could not move or shift. I could not believe this was happening to me. My kidnappers were werewolves. I was getting their scent, and they were probably rogues.
  • "Throw her phone out," a voice from the front rasped.
  • We drove for what seemed like forever. At first, I just felt hands roughly grasping at my breasts and hips. Their hands became rougher until I felt cool air on my belly and chest. I cursed myself, I should have been more careful. My skirt was hitched up while they fondled me. A tear escaped from my eyes.
  • "Leave her alone," came a voice from the front of the van again. "If you leave too much scent on her, we won't get paid."
  • I shuddered at his words, someone wanted me kidnapped! I could not connect mentally with anyone from my pack. I was too far away. Werewolves can talk telepathically to each other if they are mates or part of the same pack, but they need to be close to each other.
  • Fortunately, his words made all the manhandling stop. After what seemed like an eternity the van came to a halt. I had no idea where I was. The door opened and I was pulled out and thrown over a very hairy shoulder. My blindfold slid off and I was looking straight into a mass of fur. It was dark out, but the sound of leaves rustling in the wind confirmed I was in the woods somewhere.
  • My captors walked along. I guessed right; they were rogues.
  • I was thrown roughly in a cabin. My hands and feet were left bound to a pole. Shivering I curled into a tight ball. Emma would have known that I am missing. Rick would be in despair. Female wolves are kidnapped either to breed by the rogues or by the Alphas who fancy them.
  • Was I being kidnapped by my mate? I cringed at the word mate though my wolf was suddenly calm and eager to meet him again. I did not smell him among these rogues, so I had no idea what was going on. If this was indeed done by that green-eyed jerk! I would never forgive him.
  • 'Oh yes you will,' my wolf said.
  • Voices filled the cabin for several minutes. Then I heard the engine start-up and it sounded like the van was driving away. I listened; barely breathing waiting for what I was sure was coming. The dull thud of boots on the floor came back to the door and stopped. I heard voices.
  • "Why not just kill her?" the first voice whispered, "It's what she asked us to do."
  • "Are you crazy!" came the second voice quietly, "She is Alpha Rick's sister. She is an unmated Alpha female. Do you know many would be eager to pay whatever we demand?"
  • "So, we'll sell her?"
  • "That depends on who pays the highest. Alpha of the Shark moon pack has been looking for a female for years, his mate is barren!"
  • I cringed at those words and cursed the day I decided to return. I tried to understand why I was here. It was not because of my mate. This came as a relief to me.
  • 'I told you he is not a bad person,' my wolf cooed.
  • I rolled my eyes, here I was stuck in a cabin, I could either be killed or raped or sold. Yet I could not stop thinking about him. There was unexpectedly a deep sadness in me when I thought about never seeing him again. Few more hours passed, and I had dozed off.
  • I was woken by the sounds of commotion.
  • Shadows crossed the little windows in front of the cabin. Ragged curtains prevented me from seeing who was out there. Fear had me clinging to the pole I had been tied to. Expecting the worst, I curled in a corner closing my eyes. I braced myself for the worst. I would not give up without fighting.
