Chapter 14 A Blessing In Disguise

• "Don't let his silly words get to you. Don't let his silly words get to you." I chanted repeatedly in my head as I walked out of the building.
• I was so caught up in pushing his cruel words out of my mind that I didn’t notice the vehicle speeding toward me.
• By the time I finally registered what was happening, I was frozen in place, fear paralyzing my limbs. The loud blare of the horn snapped me back to reality just as I fell onto the pavement.
