Chapter 241 Will I Ever See You Again?

• A week later, Naomi sat in the lawn. The house was surrounded by trees and she had asked Gaia if she lived in the middle of the forest but Gaia had answered that it was all an illusion. Someone in the house can see people outside if they want but people outside can’t see them. She had believed it strange until one day she was standing at the edge of the forest and heard a child laughing. She had been stunned for it was only her and her aunt in the house, where could a child’s voice be coming from? However, she had placed her hand on air and felt it. It seemed solid to touch and she pushed further, her hand passed what seemed like a barrier and she had followed.
• To her surprise, she had walked out to a very popular street she knew and turning around, she couldn’t see the house or the trees she had been in a second ago. Behind her was just an old ruined house which she could remember people from school called haunted. Turning around, she saw a little girl staring at her in shock before she started screaming and running away. It was then Naomi understood why the house was called haunted. Apparently, someone must have seen her aunt come out the way she did and had believed she was a ghost since no one had lived in the ruined house in a long time.
• Now sitting in the lawn of the flourishing garden and beautiful house, she kept staring at the barrier. She finally understood what her aunt meant by if they looked hard enough because staring at the barrier appears a window where she could see what was happening around but no one could see her. Her dad had declared her missing five days ago and the whole town was looking for her —or she believes the whole town was looking because from what she sees, it’s almost like she doesn’t exist to them as everyone has carried on with their lives, throwing her at the back of their mind.
