Chapter 13 I Feel Broken

• ELENA'S POV;
• When we were out, it was as though rain was about to fall due to the breeze they first of all overwhelmed me. I shuddered a little before noticing sprinkles of raindrops on the ground, some even fell on my shoulders. I had a cloth wrapped around me and slightly jumped before seeing it was him. I said nothing, still vexed at what he had done. Never did I sit down to think that I'll ever be used as a toy or any man.
• Yes, I'd been used that way my whole life, but it wasn't the type of life that I would love to go back to. It made me feel cheap, useless, broken...for the past few weeks that I'd already left the shackles of that sort of life...I felt better...I didn't know it was ever going to lead to this...I didn't understand why Antonio would behave as though he liked me one moment, leading me on, only to break the trust I was beginning to build. It was almost as though he was a two-sided man. But that was the reason I was wounded, he was toying with my feelings without even caring to know how badly hurt I was. He made his decisions without involving me, only to end up breaking me.
