Chapter 21 Her Denial

• I woke up as sun rays fell on my face through the window, I groaned while getting up from the bed and walking into the bathroom. I took a shower and got dressed into a Pink and White colour-blocked woven blouson dress, it has an off-shoulder neck, three-quarter sleeves, button closure, and flared hem, it was a simple dress. I was so tired and sore down there, I didn't bother putting on makeup and just combed my hair.
• At every step I took, my core ached and I could hardly walk. I reached the kitchen and saw that Arthur's breakfast was already placed neatly in a tray with his coffee. The butler handed it to me as he saw me walking into the kitchen, I took it and made my way to Arthur's bedroom.
• I knocked on his door, but there was no response, I knocked again, "Come in," came his deep morning voice.
