Chapter 6 Distraction Or Inspiration?

  • Rhezi had laid on her bed for a few minutes already but had been turning herself side to side. She took her SpongeBob pillow and hugged it tight. She’s thinking of what happened inside of Kraius's car when she held his hand. Even until now, she could still feel the warmth of his hand on her. She’s probably not herself to feel that way.
  • Rhezi sighed and pouted her lips. She looked up and saw Kraius' face on the ceiling. She blinked for a time to erase what she saw. That wouldn’t do any good for her. Frustrated by what she feels, she put aside her SpongeBob pillow and tweaked her own hair. She’s going crazy because of that man. She’s only having a crush on him and nothing more. She’s young and admiring someone is normal.
  • When morning came, Rhezi still woke up early though she only did sleep at two A.M. last night. She spent her time stalking Kraius on his Instagram. Gawking his handsome face and fantasizing his gorgeously hot body.
  • However, an eye bag still couldn’t be seen on her face. Even pimples were not present. Rhezi’s face was very smooth, clear skinned, and white like a porcelain she inherited from her Spanish blood father. While her mother was half Chinese which also has a good complexion. In short, she came from the two good types of genes but didn’t inherit her mother’s physique. She’s too greedy for food, that’s why?!
  • In such a manner, she’s now running fast to their kitchen to eat. Food is life so they say. She’s already in her complete school uniform and black leather backpack wherein she gladly took her seat on a vacant chair in their large kitchen. She found her mother who’s busy cooking for her breakfast.
  • “Good morning, Mommy! Rhezi greeted her mom merrily. Her Mom stopped what’s she’s doing and came to her.
  • “Hello, Love. Good morning, too!” She answered and gave Rhezi a kiss on her head.
  • It made Rhezi smile because of her Mom’s sweet gesture. She was very spoiled when it came to her. Her mother loved her so much because she’s an only child. It was because she couldn’t carry a child anymore due to PCOS.
  • “Mommy my birthday is about to come. I want to tour Asia. Could it be possible, Mom? Rhezi asked while looking at her mother serving her food.
  • As usual, it was bacon and hotdog. It was her favorite especially when matched with fried rice and lots of garlic. While it was hot choco when it came to her drink in the morning. Her Mom also prepared sandwich bread for her snacks, the reason why there’s nothing to wonder anymore of her heavy weight.
  • “Sorry baby, but it’s a no.” She put the plate first and seriously looked at her. “You're not yet allowed.” Her Mom added.
  • Rhezi grimaced. “But Mommy I’m already eighteen! Still not allowed?
  • Jansen raised her eyebrows on her child’s request. “Eighteen is still a baby. So, stop this nonsense Rhezi. Just hurry up so you won't be late for school.
  • Rhezi had done nothing but to agree with her Mom’s decision. She wanted to protest but she forcibly stopped herself. She took the spoon and fork and started eating. In her mind, she’s thinking of just talking to her father about it. He would surely permit her to go because she’s his unica hija.
  • She wanted to tour Asia. It was because she had seen photos of Kraius that showed he had toured around those places. She wanted to go there, too, because she really finds the place beautiful. And the first on her list would be Turkey.
  • Rhezi ate fast. She felt really full and she’s thankful for that. On the other hand, she hasn't started on her diet plan again. Contrarily, she felt even more good and fond of eating a lot.
  • She scolded herself when she was done and emptied the food on her plate. She softly chided herself, too. Admittedly, she knew to herself that she was weak. Weak when it comes to food. And also weak when it comes to Kraius.
  • “I have different plans for your eighteenth birthday, baby. So, cheer up!” Rhezi’s Mom said to her smiling when she bid goodbye on her for going to school.
  • “I understand,” She softly answered. She intentionally laced her voice with sadness so that her Mom would know she’s disappointed with her decision. But, Jansen only shook her head and tapped her daughter’s shoulder.
  • Rhezi went to school with a heavy heart. Her mother did not permit her wish to happen. She really needed to think of some way to convince her father for permission. It was her only hope for her plan to happen.
  • Her personal driver sent her to school. She was quiet while they’re on their way to her school. Just like before, she’s shaking her head to see the unending traffic. The bad smoke emitted from the exhaust of the vehicles. And the people walking on the pavement.
  • Saint Benilde College was quiet when Rhezi came. There’s only a few students scattered around the school premises. She walked straight to her room. Her friends were already there, too, based on their text messages on her.
  • As usual, some students were looking at her while walking. She’s already used to it that she only shrugged her shoulders. Apart from their teetering smirks, they’re also giving Rhezi a cynical stare. A rolled of her eyes was they always get from her, though.
  • On the second floor of the school building, her room was located. She reached the storey, her sweats were also pouring on her face. While she kept on walking, she felt her breathing heightened.
  • Carrying her tumbler with water inside, she smiled when finally landed on the doorstep of her room.
  • The room was only simple. Decorated with white interior so that it would bring a smooth sense of view for the student’s eyes. A large chalkboard on the front wall, and chairs and tables which are made of metals. And a teacher’s desk in front.
  • “Girl!” Rhezi almost got her ear’s deafened with Tin’s voice. She didn’t even notice that she’s already beside her. Tin immediately wrapped her hand around Rhezi's shoulder with a smile on her lips. She only gave her a nasty look.
  • “Oh! What did I do again?" She innocently asked.
  • “Are you planning on deafening my eardrums?” Rhezi asked her back.
  • “No. But I will destroy your bag if you won’t let me copy your assignment on Trigo!” her friend exaggeratedly answered while guiding her to go inside.
  • Rhezi’s eyes suddenly go bigger because of what she heard from Tin. She walked swiftly to her chair. She also took her notebook quickly. She also took her notepad to look at it.
  • “Oh, shit!” She cursed.
  • Now, she's doomed.
