- “Julie.” His grip was so tight it felt like he was going to crush my bones. “Rocco isn’t just my child. It’s bad enough you disappear on a normal day, but now you won’t even show up to a summer camp event where every other kid’s parents will be there. What are the other children supposed to think of Rocco? Is this what kind of mother you are?”
