• They all stared at her. Max’s eyebrows shot up as he noticed her face, though a half mask covered most of it, leaving only the tip of her nose, mouth, and chin visible. She wore a black straight pencil skirt, a hot pink blouse, and a little hat perched on her head.
• Persis accessorized with the latest diamond necklace, bracelets, and earrings. A sparkling diamond ring adorned her engagement finger. She had prepared one herself since she and Tedmond hadn’t picked out rings for their fake engagement yet.
