- Denali doesn’t speak as she takes me in with a mixture of embarrassment and vulnerability. I was sure that she didn’t expect things to go this way, but I did what I did for this specific purpose. Since she wasn’t willing to openly say that she was beginning to like me, I had to force it out of her.
