• It's been approximately seven hours since I started sitting in this lobby, waiting for my mom to come out. She has been in the surgery room since I arrived at the hospital. My brother, Zayn, was sleeping on my lap. He hugged me when I arrived and quickly asked me to buy him something to eat, which I did. Now he was asleep, while I patted him to rest since he has been the only one staying with our mother for the past few months.
